Raised in Las Vegas, NV, Dr. David Hyer also lived in Argentina for a few years where he learned Spanish. In undergrad, he spent time as an interpreter for a surgical center learning more medical based vocabulary. He uses these skills along with his training to treat patients of all ages; and focuses on diagnosing and treating foot and ankle conditions with a patient-centered approach. Additionally, Dr. Hyer is a board-qualified podiatrist who received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA. He completed a three-year surgical residency at the Albuquerque VA Medical Center, gaining expertise in forefoot and rearfoot surgical treatments and reconstruction. He learned a wide variety of conservative and surgical techniques in order to provide a complete treatment plan to his patients. Outside of the office, Dr. Hyer enjoys sports, and hiking with his wife and their dog.
